Where character is honed, champions are forged.
Wilt Valencia Taekwondo Martial Arts Academy has taught taekwondo to kids, teens and adults since 2016, led by Sabumnim Wilt, who has coached since 1999. We are PTA and World Taekwondo-accredited, with 6 branches across Metro Manila and Cavite, all led by founder and head instructor Sabumnim Wilt Valencia.
More than kicks and belts
Every WVT class teaches the basics, poomsae (forms) and kyorugi (sparring), so students grow into complete martial artists. Belts are earned, not given: students can test for their next belt after at least 24 sessions, based on how they perform and how often they train.
Our coaches teach children with autism and ADHD alongside everyone else. Families tell us about their child on the trial form so the coach can prepare, and Sabumnim Wilt wrote The Calm Warrior Playbook to share how we do it.
For students who want to compete, our kyorugi and poomsae teams train for local, national and international tournaments.
What we teach beyond technique
Discipline
Show up, bow in, do the work. The habits built on the mat carry into school and home.
Respect
For coaches, teammates, opponents and family. Every class starts and ends with it.
Confidence
Earned one technique and one belt at a time, by kids who learn they can do hard things.
Perseverance
Falling, getting up and trying again. Some students become champions in competition; all of them learn to keep going.

WVT is accredited by the Philippine Taekwondo Association (PTA) and World Taekwondo. Our athletes compete in PTA national and regional championships and in international opens.
